Once upstairs and in Jason's room, Estelle fetched some cold medicine and fever reducer for Sophia. Lying in bed, Sophia inhaled the familiar cool scent of the sheets and couldn't help but chuckle, "It smells just like Jason, | might have trouble sleeping!"
Estelle turned to her, "Why's that?" "It's like he's right here watching over me!" Sophia mumbled, her eyes already closing. After making sure Sophia was asleep, Estelle drew the curtains, turned on the humidifier, and quietly left the room.
An hour later, Estelle returned to check on Sophia, who was now fever-free and drenched in sweat. Her loose cotton shirt was twisted and sticking to her skin uncomfortably. Estelle took off Sophia's clothes, covering her again with the blanket before leaving her to rest.
With the weather still dreary, Estelle and her companions left Old Mr. Quintin's home by four in the afternoon.
