Leah stared at Selena with a coldness in her eyes that was hard to conceal, her fists clenched dead
tight.
She took a deep breath, suppressing the fury in her heart, biting her lips and speaking with some
difficulty, “Selena, your mother’s things of course belong to you, it’s just that in the Riddle family’s
affairs, the only one who can make the decision is father, I’m afraid that if I make decision without his
permission, it will displease him.”
“I didn’t ask you to tell the Riddle’s company what to do.” Selena smiled lightly, her clear eyes rippling
with a layer of coldness, “I just ask you to make a promise, is that hard?”
Leah trembled lightly, her expression clouding over as she gritted her teeth and said, “Selena, you
know full well that father-”
Selena abruptly spoke and cut off her words, the smile on her face disappeared and her expression
became extremely cold, “Leah, don’t talk about all that nonsense, you say you can’t decide what
Chairman Riddle does, but you can refuse, right? He gave it to you and you said it wasn’t something
that belonged to you and you didn’t want it, is that hard?”
Before Leah could retort, Selena smiled arrogantly, her eyes overflowing with disdain and dignity.
“No matter how glib you are, you cannot change the fact that I am the rightful bloodline of the Riddle
family. As long as I am not dead, no matter how good you are, you will always be an illegitimate
daughter born of a mistress. You are not qualified to covet the succession of the Riddle family, and
even more so, you are not qualified to get involved in everything that belongs to my mother!”
Leah’s face froze, and her eyes took on an extra touch of chilly anger.
Molly was so angry that she wanted to tear Selena apart. Anyway, her attitude towards Selena had
been exposed to the public.
She shouted angrily, “Selena, you’re a fool who can’t do anything, how can you manage the Riddle
family if you’re given it? Leah will take the Riddle family to the next level, you will only ruin it! Your
father saw that Leah was better than you and that’s why he intended to let her inherit the Riddle family!”
Luke looked at Molly, who was hysterical, and the corners of his lips curled up in a sneer.
“Mrs. Riddle, you are worrying too much, Selena is a shareholder of Olympus Group, her status is very
valuable. How can she be bothered with such a tiring job of managing the Riddle family? There are
plenty of talented people countless times better than Leah who are willing to do the job for her.”
Selena didn’t even bother with Olympus Group, so how could she possibly care about a mere Riddle
family?

“Let’s not even mention that Selena is the rightful heir to the Riddle family, what she needs to
guarantee is just the share left behind by her mother alone, and this mother and daughter are pushing
back like this, this behaviour is really shocking!” Molly was about to argue, but Leah turned around and
looked at her with an angry face, “Mom, how can you say such things?!”
Molly was well brought up and had long been accustomed to Selena’s timidity and submissiveness,

The corners of Selena’s lips pulled up in a smile, her smile stunning and clear, staring at her.
Leah bit her lips, her face full of humiliation and concealment, “I swear, if I covet the shares left behind
by your mother, I will be punished-”
